8 min 29 sec. with full narration

File Size:
43.4 MB

Content:
This high-quality video demonstrates the treatment of a patient with a
posterior maxilla with minimal bone height due to an enlarged sinus
cavity. The treatment shows the diagnosis, treatment planning and the step
for step of the clinical technique for a sinus augmentation procedure when
a septum in present in the inferior wall of the sinus. Separate lateral
windows are cut anterior and posterior of the septum; bone harvested from
the mandibular ramus and was applied with the sandwich technique utilizing
a xenograft (BioOss). 24 Month follow-up clinical and radiographic pictures demonstrate healthy
peri-implant mucosa and stable implant and bone level.

Learning Objectives:
  • Surgical technique of sinus membrane elevation when bony septum divides sinus into an anterior and posterior compartment.
  • Clinical steps of lateral window preparation and sinus membrane elevation in a complicated clinical situation.
  • Step by step technique of the sinus sandwich bone graft utilizing autogenous bone and a xenograft (BioOss)
